Ahhhhh! Desert Green Goddess, that is AWESOME! When I first heard about your swap I was psyched and my 10 year old son was too. We woke up really early not knowing what to expect and loved every minute. The stuff kept coming and going and seemed to be a HUGE success. I grabbed a bunch of old T's and used them for a camp craft making cute bracelets, and you know what they cost to make over 100 of them? ZERO! Thanks to your swap(I also grabbed a bunch of patterns, a vase, and an adjustable measuring spoon). I'll be their in September with a load of stuff to drop off and a bunch more to pick up! THANKS for organizing the whole shebang!

I am the desert green goddess who organized that free swap (by the way, I am planning another free swap the last Saturday in September) and I saw that you had linked to my page. This is so funny. That's MY old backpack! My brother got it for me in the Philippines YEARS ago. I wore it out and years of storage later I realized I wasn't likely to do anything with it. I am THRILLED to see this. This process works. There are people out there who know how to put their expertise to work and infuse new life into things that would otherwise be forgotten or tossed. I will be using this example in future promotion of such events. Love it!
