This last weekend my third son Sam was baptized. It was a very sweet and exciting day for all of us. He couldn't wait to turn 8 and was beaming the entire day. Since this is my third son's baptism, and I served in our Primary as the secretary for a few years, I have made pleanty of baptism programs. I thought I'd share this simple layout that you can print yourself. I started out by having three programs to a single sheet of cardstock (or paper). I selected a simple image of Jesus and John the Baptist and fit it across the bottom. With a brown border and blue "Californian FB" font (which you probably already have) things are clean and focused on the baptism, not the child. Passport to Reading

A good friend of mine was in charge of our schools Read-a-thon this year. She asked me if I could design a "Passport" for each of the kids in the school. Inside they could fill in their information and have a place where they could write down the min. they read for each week. This is what I came up with. On the inside, the students can glue a picture of themselves (or some times teachers can print them off from their class pictures). There is a note from the "Principal" and a place for them to sign their name, just like a real passport. There are 12 spaces for "stamps", stickers, signatures, or recording their minutes or "reading miles traveled". You may or may not know that I am a Mormon. This weekend is a great time for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it is our semi-annual conference This is when we listen to our Prophet and his twelve apostles and other great leaders. A talk that was given Saturday morning by Ann Dibb was particularly fabulous (follow THIS LINK to hear her talk). Here is a free printable I created based on her words. I love fonts and typography. It wasn't until this year that I realized that there are FREE fonts out there, just waiting to be downloaded! Thousands of free fonts. If you are new to downloading fonts, I'll share a few of my favorites and outline how do download them to your computer for easy use. Free Instagram Printable Template

Instagram is so fun and hip right now I decided to jump on the bandwagon and make a free template for everyone. I've basically made a layout that is printable in 5X7 or 8X12. Here are a few uses for the template: Perfect for a teen or pre-teen scrapbook. There are places to put the date, the event, who is in the photo, and what they were doing, and lets face it, way cooler than cutting and gluing pages together. It's almost time for school to start again, and it seems every year one of my kids is supposed to bring a bunch of photos to tell the class about themselves. These are perfect. The one below shows an example of a boy showing off his swimming skills as well as lets the teacher know whats going on. Invitations are always a fun way to get creative.
